The first thing that came to mind when I thought about TV shows that I am fond of, at the top of the list was the one and only Northern Exposure.
Quirky, funny, touching, odd, fun, smart, unpredictable. I wanted to live in Cicely, Alaska. What amazing characters and storylines.

This would be my 'desert island' tv series, no contest.

But you are sure to get many opinions on this thread (with this extremely subjective topic), and it will be interesting to see all the varied opinions.

For me the best series of all time is Beverly Hills 90210. I think it is best because if it wasn't, then why did it last for a several years? And, they return it back into the screen and even though it's all new characters and stories, it is still a big hit. 90210 has a great stories and characters because they represent real people and real places. So, people love it because there is an ego involvement where viewers see themselves into the show.
